The Cognitive Science and Technologies Council (CSTC) of Iran and the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in Brazil have called for a sprint research proposal.

This call for proposals aimed to identify potentials for international cooperation among Brazilian researchers in São Paulo State and Iranian researchers in the field of cognitive science and technologies. In this platform, the exchange of prominent researchers between Iran and Brazil (Sao Paulo State) is considered to develop cooperation and fostering joint research projects.

Researchers who are interested in this call please consider the following items:

-The researchers must carefully read the call for proposal and make sure that they are eligible to apply.

-Research proposals should be presented as a joint plan between Iranian researchers (the faculty members of universities or CEOs of the domestic knowledge-based companies, who are preferably the principal investigators of the CSTC projects) and Brazilian researchers from Sao Paulo (the principal investigators in FAPESP) in the frameworks presented in the call (A guide to find principal investigators and researches supported by FAPESP).

-It should be noted that proposals for the joint research projects should firstly be arranged and confirmed by the Iranian and the Brazilian parties. Then, the proposals must be submitted to CSTC by the Iranian researcher and to FAPESP by the Brazilian counterpart.

-The review and selection process of the research proposals will be simultaneously conducted by the CSTC and the FAPESP in an independent manner. Final acceptance of the proposal is subjected to acceptance of it in both sides.

-Submission date of project proposals starts from July 31, 2018 (Mordad 9, 1397), and will end on October 29, 2018 (Aban 7, 1397). The deadline will not be extended at all.

  • Maximum 5 (five) projects will be funded within this call for proposals.

-The priority of Cognitive Science and Technologies Council in the Sprint-2018 platform is to support research teams that have a history of research collaboration with the council or are from the front-runner research groups recognized by the council.

Considering the above mentioned items, I am eligible for the application. (Please log in to your personal CSTC portal to submit your proposal).
