The second international course on cognitive neuroscience in collaboration with the prominent professors from the US, UK, and India will be held from September 30th. to October 7th., 2019, at Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, Iran.
Organized by Dr. Saeed Semnanian, professor of physiology at Tarbiat Modares University and Dr. U.J. McMahan, professor of biology at Texas A & M University; the course welcomes applications from biomedical sciences, medical students, medical residents, junior faculty members, and advanced undergraduate students. Interested students of mathematics, physics, engineering, and computer science are also welcomed to attend.
Topics will include a) principals of signaling, b) structure, function, and formation of synapses, c) channels and receptors, d) sensory transduction, e) signal processing, d) neural development, degeneration, regeneration, and e) pathogenesis mechanisms of plasticity which are organized in thirty-five lectures (50 minutes each). A daily 1-hour conference, followed by an open discussion session is set for questions and answers.
