2019 IBB World Championship Winners Announced

The five winners of the International Brain Bee (IBB) Competition 2019 was announced and the third Place went to Kamand SoufiAbadi, from Iran.

The 2019 Brain Bee World Championship was held in conjunction with the 10th IBRO World Congress of Neuroscience in September 2019 in Daegu, Korea. The Brain Bee is a neuroscience competition for young students, 13 to 19 years of age. This year it was hosted by Korea Brain Research Institute, Kyungpook National University, and the IBRO Congress.


Twenty-eight international and regional champions participated in the competition to demonstrate their graduate-level knowledge in neuroscience, neuroanatomy, neurohistology, and neurological diagnosis.


Yidou from China was awarded $3000 as the IBB World Champion. Natalia Koc from Poland was second, and received $2000. Kamand Soufi Abadi, was third and received $1000 USD.


Sophia Ye from New Zealand placed fourth and Silas Hansch-Maher from Australia placed fifth. All competitors received a medal for their achievements and participation in the World Championship.
